H. R. is an 8-month old neutered male hound mix. He was brought to our shelter as the result of a car accident in which he suffered a broken hind leg that had to be amputated. Many shelters would have euthanized him on the spot, but he is such a sweet-natured dog that we believe he has great potential to be a fine companion for an older person or a disabled person who wouldn't mind that he is a tripod dog. He is very gentle, not very big and does not jump up on you. He is a quiet, well behaved little boy and he loves to be doted on. H. R. originally stood for "hit and run," but now it stands for "hero," which is what this brave little dog is.Payson Humane Society
