Brevard County - healthy Senior Maltese - DEAF in need of permanent home

criticalpetsrescue@gmail.com

I'm fostering a deaf Maltese now it's time to place her into a special
home. She is about 12 years old and still full of energy. She has
had several teeth extracted but still eats very well. The main
concern is that she goes to someone who understands how to care for a
deaf dog. She has been around other small dogs and she uses them as
her guides along with her visionery and olfactory senses. She is a
cuddler and very affectionate, but is not "velcroed" to you.

I know Tasha is ready to move forward into a home and I need to make
space for other dogs who need special care fostering and
rehabilatation. She is current on all shots and is on HW prevention.
She's fantasic to walk with on a leash and is so well behaved!

She would be adopted just as if she were coming from the shelter and
the adoption fee is $80.

If anyone knows someone who thinks this dog would make a perfect
companion for, please let me know and I'll send a photo. She really
is one very special little girl.

I am located in Melbourne Beach, Brevard County, FL

URGENT special needs Aussie pups

faithhopejoy101@yahoo.com

2 Australian Shepherd pups, about 7 months old, are in desperate need of a
place to go. These poor babies are the result of bad breeding (double
merles) and are blind & deaf. They do appear to see shadows. Both are
sweet as can be and need a place to go ASAP. They are currently located in
Mountain Home, Arkansas but we can help with transport if needed.

If you can help, please email me off list right away.

Thanks!

SE of DAllas, Tx-Sweet disabled lab boy, needs home ASAP

This boy was picked up by a lady in the neighboring city of Gun Barrel City.
He is the most wonderful boy. He evidently has neurological damage, though
he has not been to a vet.
He can only go right. She has tried the Montana ranch, and Black beauty,
best friends, etc.
Is there no group who can help him? She does not have the money to get him
treated, and I am afraid if it takes too long, the damage, if it isn't
already , may be permanent. Please crosspost widely and have pity. He needs
help!

Request for help for a Jack Russell, Beagle mix, but definately an escape
artist. She is way over her city limit. This is a CUTE dog!
Contact Tina Hamilton, below, please try to help!

MN, Three legged cat

Three legged, spayed female cat, approximately 4-5 lbs (her nick-name
is Kitten since she is so small). Does not get along with other cats
(reason for looking for another home) and needs to be on canned food
for the rest of her life because dry food irritates her bladder.

Not declawed and should not be declawed since having only three legs
she needs them to help her with balance. She is fine with dogs and
other non-feline pets.

Loves to lay on my lap while I am reading (if the other cats aren't
nearby) and has the tiniest little meow when she wants something. Would
not do well with kids since she is pretty opinionated about what she is
doing! She is stress out living with other cats so please don't ask if
you have other cats in the house. Indoor only, litterbox trained.
Photos available.

CA - Rescued Blind Pregnant dog needs a few supplies

We're Fetch 11 in Shasta, Ca and we've taken in a blind (she has no
eyes), pregnant, Pit Bull named Mrs. Paroo. We are seeking funds to
help her through her pregnancy, to get her and her puppies all
vaccinated and altered (when the time comes)and to get her some basic
obedience training (because she's had no training at all). We're also
in need of a few supplies: plug-in air fresheners of different scents
(so she can tell room from another by its scent), a body harness (as
she doesn't like being led by her collar), and long rugs or panels of
carpet, so she can feel her way around the shelter house by following
the carpets. Any other blind-dog care/assistance books, DVDs, videos
or pamphlets that we can pass on to potential adopters will also be
appreciated. Thanks for your help! For more information on our
program, see our website at www.fetch11. org

Dallas, TX - Injured dog needs help.

My name's Max Bell and I found an injured dog early last week while
walking my dogs.
Here's some pictures from her first day at our place.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/karristover/sets/72157594469674005/

One of it's legs is messed up still. It's clearly been injured
before but is strong and young maybe 1.5 years. I've been to an animal
hospital and had it on antibiotics and had x-rays.
Not obvious breaks or disease just a bad injury or 2. After a week
of meds and shelter in my garage she hopping around ok. The bad leg
looks ok but maybe has some nerve damage because she still drags it and
has only now ( a week after we rescued her) is able to hold it up at
all.
She looks like a pit bull, but my spouse disagrees.
I simply can't keep her. She does not get along with my other 2 dogs
and I really can't have another dog anyway with our new baby on the
way. Not sure if she's adoptable.
Can you take her in? I can donate some money if that would help.

Ft. Worth TX ACC - Deaf Blue Heeler in Ft. Worth, TX

This sweet and beautiful gal was adopted but it was soon discovered
she is deaf or very hard of hearing. they absolutely adored her but
they live in the country and she was to be the best buddy for their
son and help protect him while they were out and about on the
property. She is a wonderful gal and I would hate for her to be PTS
because of not being able to hear. She just needs the right family.

Can anyone help?

For those of you who have contacts with the deaf dog networks can
you please pass this on.

Thank you

Donations Needed for surgery (hip dislocated)

4 Paws Sake, Inc., is in need of donations. This week, we took in 2 very sick dogs. Baylee is a 3 year old beagle (rescued from Adams Cnty) who is in need of FHO surgery (hip dislocated). She is so underweight that she will need 3 weeks of good food and TLC before she can have her surgery. This is a very costly surgery $1200. She is soooooooo sweet and deserves a chance at a normal life.

All Dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes.
All dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners. Ohio ~ DEAF Chocolate Lab Needs Rescued by Monday!

A man called me and said that he has had this chocolate lab a little over a week after she wandered onto his property. She is totally housebroken and very friendly. He can't keep her any longer, he said, and he is taking her to the shelter on Monday, but agreed to give me until then to see what I could do.

She appears to be deaf, he said.

He said if it wasn't for his other dog he'd keep her. She likes his dog but his dog is throwing a fit that she is there. He said she doesn't seem to have any issues whatsoever.

If you know of someone looking for a nice Chocolate Lab (and doesn't mind that she is deaf) please let me know! We will hook you up with him.

She looks like a real cutie!

Daisy Really Needs You!
Although we're aware that the holidays have just passed and the credit card bills are coming in, this is an urgent plea for help, and a reminder that every donation, no matter how small, will insure a greater chance of a happy ending for a beautiful, loving animal who really needs us at this time:
This is Daisy. She was rescued by a compassionate family after being brutally attacked in this family's neighborhood. She has suffered serious burns, and her leg has been sliced open to a degree that it must be amputated.
The family who brought us Daisy would love to provide for her, but they cannot afford to do so.
When she has recovered, Daisy will be ready for a new, forever home. Although she's been through more than any creature should be expected to tolerate, and despite the inhumanity shown her prior to her rescue, Daisy has put forth NO complaints!
Even now, this sweetheart loves to have her belly rubbed!

She will make a great companion and a loving best friend for anyone looking to add an "indoor only" cat to their household.
But in order for this to happen, we must restore Daisy's health. The cost of her surgery will be $550, but her aftercare in-hospital is likely to exceed $2,500.
Rest assured that while Daisy's tormenters are unknown, we are doing everything we can to find them and yes, we will seek justice.
Thank you so very much for helping us at this time, and for ringing in this new year on a note of tender compassion.

We are reaching out to you to help save her.
Please make donations to
Stray Cat Alliance /
Feral Cat Alliance!
Please mention that the donation is for Daisy.
