PLEASE....PLEASE....ISN'T THERE A RESCUE THAT CAN MAKE A SPACE FOR HER OR SOMEONE WHO WILL GIVE THIS DOG A HOME FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE ???

Juliet was turned in by her owner to the Chattooga County Animal Control shelter in Summerville, Georgia, wearing a green harness. She is a Yellow Lab mix and looks completely Lab except for some darker areas around her eyes. When we started to remove the harness we realized that it was embedded in her chest. The skin had not grown over it, so we were able to pull it out bit by bit very gently. This sweet dog didn't even move while we were doing this and just whimpered slightly. I was in tears so the poor dog ended up trying to comfort me. I used a whole tube of Neosporin on the wound.

The shelter has no funds whatsoever for vetting, so now she is just lying on the cold wet concrete floor. She gets up only to give me a kiss. Juliet needs medical attention right away and a loving home to help her heal. This deep wound will get horribly infected with her lying in that nasty shelter. Her beautiful buff colored coat is coming out by the handfuls, but I think this is just stress maybe. I can see no sign of mange. Juliet has such a sweet and tender spirit. Even though she has been neglected, hurt and abandoned, she still thinks people are wonderful. A dog like this can make a wonderful family pet. Please don't let her get put down after all she has suffered. Please give Juliet a chance at a new life.

Partially blind kitten available for adoption in Northern CA- therapy animal

We have an 11 month old kitten who is believed to have been born
mostly blind. We think she can differentiate between light and shadow,
but cannot see details. She often runs into walls and cannot locate
pieces of food on the ground visually. She sniffs and sniffs and
sniffs, before she can find the food.
She is very affectionate, and we are hoping to have her certified as a
thearapy cat in the near future. She is very pleasant and is great
with strangers, sitting very complacently on their laps and purring
away. Shes of course is harness trained and is fine with car rides and
regular outings. Shes been exposed to lots of different stimuli and is
very non-reative.

She will be available for adoption in the near future, once certified.

This beautiful male Shar-Pei (possibly purebred) was found hiding in a horse
barn on this couple's horse farm (outside Searcy). They named him Buddy
Tuff. He is mostly deaf but may have a little hearing in one ear. The
couple gave him a home there for almost two years and he has never bothered
the adult horses. They have had baby colts born this year and Buddy Tuff
has started chasing them. A friend of the couple in the city of Searcy has
VERY TEMPORARILY agreed to keep him. Buddy Tuff MUST find a new home ASAP!

I believe Buddy Tuff has had his vaccinations and rabies but has not been
neutered. The owners have indicated they would help with this cost if a
good home or foster could be found for him.

Does anyone have an adopter interested in a beautiful Shar-Pei? Does anyone
know of a Shar-Pei rescue within a reasonable distance of Searcy? Any help
on getting Buddy Tuff to safety would be greatly appreciated!

Atlanta, GA. - EXTREMELY URGENT!!!! - Need rescue for a young Deaf Dalmation

This is for a deaf Dalmation, so Dalmation rescues might work as well. This
poor dog was brought to the shelter by his owner, a young man, and signed
over.

Apparently he and his father live together, and they are fighting. The
father told his son to bring the dog to the shelter, and have him put down.
When he found out that his son just signed him over, he called the shelter
demanding that the dog be PTS. The staff said they were going to try to
find someone to take him, and the man flew into a rage saying that he wanted
that damn dog dead! It apparently scratched him, poor thing's nails are
unbelievably long. This man is coming to the shelter in the morning to sign
euthanasia papers, and stay there while the dog is put to sleep.

Needless to say, this poor baby is currently in the back of Lucy's van! We
need to get him out of here ASAP, so that if and when the shelter director
caves in to the former owner's demands (and he will) and requests this poor,
confused dog be returned for euthanasia, we will no longer have him.

Lucy is heading to Atlanta tonight, and she can take him with her if there
is anyone along the way. I know it's a long shot but hey, this board has
worked miracles before. It's worth a shot! I met this boy a little while
ago. He's SO sweet and affectionate. He's not much more than a year or so
old.

three-legged border collie/aussie female

There is a beautiful, three-legged border collie/aussie female at the
Georgetown (Texas, just north of Austin) animal shelter. She has been there
for about 2 months after being hit by a car. The hit caused one hip to break
off (basically the equivalent of a femoral head ostectony on her right rear
leg) and the loss of her left rear leg. With all of that, she has a
beautiful, sweet disposition. And she is a lovely dog. We just need to find
her a rescue situation for foster or a permanent home that will understand
the issues she has and realize that, obviously, her rear-end will always
need special attention.

NEED HELP FOR TORTURED HUSKY!! Frankfort,KY.. Advice for Injured Husky in KY +Help Needed ASAP!!!!

Ceci Mitchell of Frankfort, KY, has helped dogs and cats out for years, and
has fostered for some of you.....and probably ended up keeping the dogs (she
has quite a few)! ...(she is one of the most compassionate people I know).
Ceci needs help and advice. A lame husky found it's way to her daughter's
home (middle of the road), and of course, daughter brought it to Ceci. (At
the same time a starving, injured cat showed up too.) This Husky is a
mess....one of her legs is just mutilated. Here is the latest report:
"Back from taking the husky to Lex to Landsdowne Vet's. Took x-rays and
are referring her to N Broadway Animal's Dr. Hume (I think is name) for
consideration. May remove pieces/parts of foot/leg - does look like old
break because of bone re-growth - many crushed bones in wrist and maybe at
elbow and top of long forearm bones (again, based on new bone
indications...). And they put her in a cast, so if I can keep it on
her - and dry - for a week, maybe her toes will have healed up by then....."
All the dog's front claws are missing; Ceci speculates she tried to claw her
way out of some place.
Ceci recently retired, is taking care of sick family members, has animal's
battling cancers with expensive treatments, and just can't do any more. Her
many kennels are full, and although her heart has lots of room left, she
needs help.
Is there a rescue who helps with this type of problem; a place where I can
work to raise funds for whatever treatment this dog might need as the dog is
cared for? She does not believe she can handle this dog's wounds,
especially if there is amputation. She is begging for help with this
girl......any ideas? Thank you.

This is Christina Faris, and I was hoping you could find a rescue facility
that could take in my injured horse Riley.

I Got Riley January 2006 from a man named Bruce Dirksen. You see I have
always wanted a horse, and I was looking in the paper for a horse that was
in my price range. When I came upon his ad. I went to his ranch in Elkhorn,
NE. At the time Riley had just turned 3. He said she was Greenbroke. He
rode her around the arena saying "she may lay down on you, but you just
gotta kick her and she'll get back up." Bruce weighed at least 250 lbs. He
let me ride her, and she was really calm and gentle, but she just didn't
have that urge to go like a lot of horses, but I loved her, she seemed
perfect. He told me that her back end was flat like that because she was
young and hadn't filled out yet, he said I would just have to work with her
a lot. So I told him I could make payments and he agreed.

I thought he was just a really nice guy, because a lot of horse owners want
their money right then and there, but I realize now he accepted the payments
cause I was the only one dumb enough to be suckered into believing that
their was nothing wrong with that horse. I paid $900 for Riley it took me 3
months to work up that money because I was only 16. I started paying in
November and took her home in January. I rode that horse for about the next
6 months, but she was different from all the other horses I had ridden she
didn't want to go fast. Everybody told me it was because I wasn't pushing
her hard enough, they told me to "get mean" so I pushed her. I worked with
that horse everyday, and she showed no improvement. I hired a horse trainer,
mark lyons, because Riley had a real hard time backing up ( which Bruce
explained as she pulled a cart so she has a "fear" of backing up and running
into a cart, real smooth) Mark lyons also told me I wasn't pushing her hard
enough. he took her reins and told her to back up and gave her a push on the
chest she slowly started moving backward and he pushed her to go faster by
whipping her with the leather reins really hard on both sides of her neck.
Riley tried to move faster to get away from the pain of the reins but he
said she was "dragging her feet" so he continued to hit her until she got so
scared, and in pain that she fell over backwards, where he continued to hit
her until she got up. That was the last time that trainer ever saw Riley. If
I had any common sense I would have stopped him mid hit, but at the time I
didn't know that anything was wrong with her. I regret that so much. Over
the next few months I realized something was just not right with Riley when
I was riding her and she showed pain when she would go up hills. I took her
to a vet in Glenwood and she pushed on her back where the spine meets the
pelvis and said she had a problem and she would need X-rays, but the only
clinics that had a machine that big would be Ames, IA. I couldn't trailer
her that far at the time so I just stopped riding her. we put her on acres
of land with my uncle Pete's other horses. Where over the winter months her
condition would worsen. When the snow started to melt Riley actually got
Stuck in the mud and had to be pulled out. We brought her over to the other
side of the farm in a smaller area. I went out the next morning because I
had decided that the hay just wasn't keeping the necessary weight on her, so
I went out to give her grain. I discovered that she had either fallen or
laid down on the mud and was unable to get up. This time was worse, we tried
pulling her with the halter and pushing her but none of our attempts were
working. so we ended up pulling her out of the mud by tying her lead rope
onto the ball of a truck and Dragging her out of the mud. on the dry surface
we were able to pull her up but she was really shaky and weak. Her condition
was so bad I thought it would be best to put her down. but through the next
day her condition seemed to improve and I changed my mind about putting her
down. Over the next few days I discovered she also had blood in her urine so
I knew she needed to see a vet right away. The next day a vet named Kelly
Turner from Oakland came out and looked her over. He said that the blood in
her urine was just a bladder infection, and her hips were probably a birth
defect or an injury that she would probably live with for the rest of her
life. I asked him if she should be put down and he said no it was not that
bad. Well he gave me medicine for her bladder infection, and I am still
treating her for that infection, but I am pretty sure it is gone, she just
has a few more days of treatment left. I had scheduled a different vet to
come out before I had scheduled Turner, but they weren't able to get their
till April 4th, so I used Turner and meant to cancel them. I forgot to
cancel them, they were from Gretna. He had already drove out to Crescent to
see Riley so I figured I would get his opinion on her hips because she was
still going down with out the ability to get up. He looked at her and said
she probably broke her hip when she was real young and it healed wrong and
now she has arthritis in the joints. He told me I should send her to a kill
lot so "she can have a meaning for her life" and that she would live for
another 15 years, but it would be cruel if I kept her alive. So here I am
unable to give up on that horse, because she still seems to have a will to
live, and if she hasn't given up on herself why should I. But I can't keep
her because my Uncle Pete doesn't agree with my thinking, and wants me to
put her down, or she has to leave his land.

So I have no where to put her, and she needs medical attention. I love that
horse more than anything in this world, that is why I can't put her down
without knowing for sure there is nothing that can be done to help her. And
why I am willing to let her go to someone else to provide her with what she
really needs.

Available for a limited time at the Paulding County Shelter. One male mix breed, medium size brown, was left with a rope tied to his neck at the front door out of the pound. He is a sweet dog and has some major wound on his neck area and beside the snout. It appears he was attacked by another animal. These wounds are old and there is massive infection. The pound is keeping him as comfortable as they can. We have him on pain meds and antibiotics. I dont think the antibiotics is going to help much - I think the wounds may need opened and drained. This is just a guess. The DW knows I am working on rescue for him. He will not get adopted locally. Can anyone help him? Pull fee is $25 and no vetting is done. I can get him to a vet and can transport one hour in any direction. Pull fee has been offe red to rescue that takes him Any takers? RICHMOND, Va. - Government testing of recalled pet food linked to
dog and cat deaths has found a chemical used to make plastics.

The Food and Drug Administration said it found melamine in samples
of the Menu Foods pet food, as well as in wheat gluten used as an
ingredient.

Cornell University scientists also have found the chemical, also
used as a fertilizer, in the urine and kidney of a sick cat.

Earlier results from a lab in New York had blamed a rodent poison
and cancer drug called aminopterin for the deaths.

PETA Wants Bigger Recall

Meanwhile, some animal rights advocates say a pet-food recall does
not go far enough.

The group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals called on the
government and pet food makers to expand the recall to include dry
varieties, too.

Nearly 100 brands of pet food were recalled after animals suffered
kidney failure. The recall involved "cuts and gravy" style dog and
cat food. Some major brands, including Iams, Nutro and Eukanuba,
were involved.

The Food and Drug Administration said it has no plans to suggest a
wider recall and veterinarians said they've seen no trend of dogs
and cats getting sick from eating dry food.

This little boy is so lucky to be alive!  He has suffered tremendously after being attacked by a Chow.   His name is "Trouper" and he's only a year old.

 

His entire hind area was ripped wide open, and he has many, many sutures around and under the base of his tail.  Can you IMAGINE THE PAIN and the terror he has suffered?

 

He is slowly recovering, and is being cared for at the St Martin Parish Animal Control facility in Martinville, Louisiana. 

 

The problem?  This is an Animal Control facility- they have NO FUNDS to cover Trouper's  $300 vet bill!!  To make matters worse, this little boy is heart worm positive!!  So, even more funds are needed to save his life!

 

PLEASE, won't you send a donation to help this boy?  He is homeless!!  He has nobody!  He's been through so much already- if we can all send in whatever we can to help- it will add up!

Blind dog in desparate need:

Tuffie, a 10 year old blind american  brittany spaniel mix, is in desparate need of help.  I have taken him in as a foster after the nursing home he was living in threatened to put him to sleep.  Unfortunately, he is not doing well here and we need to find him a home with no other dogs.  Here is his history - can you please help him?

Abandoned by his owner at a shelter when he was 7 years old and just going blind, he was not doing well with the other dogs at the shelter.  He is an aggressive alpha dog around other animals and after a few months at the shelter was sent to a foster home.  I don't know what happened in that home, but he was there for 10 months before being adopted to a nursing home as a companion for the residents.  He was at the nursing home for 3 months when they threatened to put him to sleep because he was bumping into residents due to his blindness and tripping them.  His original rescue refused to take him back.  At that point I was told that he was a loving calm dog who was 7 years old and had been living in a permanent home.  

 

Given that info, I thought he would fit in well here and agreed to take him in as a foster.  From that point, he was in 4 different temporary homes in one week before coming to me.   Arriving here he was completely terrified and very aggressive with  my dogs.  I kept him separated from my dogs while trying to get him calm and situated.  He was more like a shelter dog when I got him.  I took him to my vet and found that he was 10 and not 7, that he was allergic to the eye drops he had been getting for months, he had infections in both eyes, is at least 20 pounds overweight, arthritic, and in need of constant drops.  

 

Now that he has stabilized, he looks a lot better and is feeling healthier. Once he was comfortable with me and my husband, re-introduced him to our larger dog outside in a neutral environment. He snapped at him but seemed to settle down.  Later, he got too close again and went after our larger dog.  My husband tried to separate them and Tuffie bit my husband really badly.  He is not a dog that can be around other dogs, and cannot be around our small Pomeranian as he could kill her accidntally.   He is very loving and sweet with people though and wants to be with you constantly.  He LOVES to walk and with the combination of diet food and no more people food, he should be much healthier quickly.  Due to his blindness, he has separation anxiety when you leave him - this is making his current environment detrimental to him as we have to keep him separate from our living environment with our dogs.

Can someone please foster this dog?  He deserves better than the life he has been given.  Based on his aggressiveness in our house, he will need to be moved to another home ASAP.   If we are unable to relocate him to a safer place by April 30, we will have to place him with our local shelter. 

 

Please, can you assist us in this effort?  Tuffie deserves much better than what we are able to offer as foster parents...

Shreveport LA: 2 mini schnauzer seniors.. one deaf and blind dumped by their family need out of shelter

It says these to are heartworm positive but they think it should read
heartworm negative. The shelter manager is not there for them to verify.

My name is Jeri Holloway, Shreveport, La., 318-869-2157. I work with local
rescue groups and the pound, a kill shelter, to find places of safe haven
for purebreds at risk of having to be destroyed.

These two miniature schnauzers have been at the pound since Feb. Several
places I wrote then replied back, oh these aren't minis; write the standard
folks; the standards did the same, these aren't standards. (after photos
were sent) I knew they were minis and I finally have measurements and
weights. I pray you will be able to help them.

Tish is a white mini schnauzer, heartworm positive, housebroken, blind,
deaf, and sweet as all get out, around 13 years old. Their coats are clipped
and clean. She is 12 1/2 inches tall and weighs 13 lbs.

Precious is black, heartworm positive, housebroken, 10 years old. She stands
14 inches tall and weighs a chunky 17 lbs. She is so friendly and loving.

Both were brought in by owners; one because they got a new dog, so out with
the old. The other because the dog was just too old to keep any longer.

They are now caged together and get along just great. But they are still
wonderful little dogs that deserve to live out their lives with schnauzer
folks who will love and adore them. When I took the new photos yesterday,
they trotted down the hallways just big as you please. Tish is very mellow,
she doesn't jump with fear due to her blindness and deafness. They are
absolutely adorable.

There is a person in Shreveport who is willing to pay their travel expenses
to send them to wherever we can find for them to settle in.

The kennel manager at Caddo Animal Services, Shreveport, where they are, is
Annette Lewis, 318-226-6624. If you need additional information call her and
if she is not there, ask for Avery. (Annette's son was in a tragic auto
crash and she has been spending most of her time at the hospital since last
week, he is in critical condition.) That is why you may not be able to reach
her, thus Avery should be able to help you. If you call, please tell them
that Jeri sent you the photos of the dogs and contacted you.

If you are unable to help these two babies, could you refer me to anyone
else who might?

I pray you can help them, especially since they have been at the pound so
long now. When I first met them in Feb. and took photos, Precious was quiet
then after I began petting her, she began wagging her little tail and
rubbing her head in my chest. This is so hard for little dogs that have been
in homes all their lives to suddenly be in a pound in a cage with so many
strange smells and noises.

Hello everyone. I have been doing pit bull rescue for a little over a
year now, and due to some major issues with my personal situation, I
can't continue to foster or do rescue right now.

I have 2 pit bull puppies looking for GOOD homes. Vet check and home
visit will be required! Both dogs are fully vetted and ready to go.

Red is about 6 months old, maybe a little younger, and is a petite
little guy. He loves people and kids, and thus far dogs. He has a
high prey drive, though, so I would be wary with cats. He will stay
in his crate, but he hates it. He is mostly housebroken, and knows
some manners. He needs to be kept occupied, but will make a great dog
for an active family.

Beethoven is 6 months old and is deaf, but that doesn't slow him down
any. He has THE BEST temperament ever, and loves everyone and
everything. He adores kids, but since he's so big, they don't like it
when they get knocked over by him. He is learning hand signals, is
crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He does pretty good on
pottying outside, but he is not left loose in the house for long
periods of time.

I am asking $75 adoption fees to try to recoup some of the money I

I'd like to share a little tale (tail!) with you. Donny and Diane are an engaged couple who visit the park as often as they can with Madison, their dog. She's a sort of chocolate lab mutt, so very pretty and full of life and energy and Donny and Diane and a close friend of theirs fill this little girls life with love and affection every moment that they can.

Unfortunately her life hasn't always been like this. Madison was brutally abused and on the day Donna met her, she was scheduled for termination the very next day by her owners. Donny was delivering Chinese food to them when he saw her and fell in love with her beautiful (but pleading for help) eyes. The owners had let their children ride around on her, kicking her when she tired and they beat her so badly that eventually the severed a nerve in her back and her back legs became paralyzed. They bring her to the park and she is so happy, she tries to run but it's such hard work for her and her front legs are becoming weaker and damaged because of all the strain. On top of this, she has arthritis and the regular medication she has to take every day takes up most of their spare cash.

She is only 4 and should have a long and happy life ahead of her. I spoke to Donny yesterday as they held her up by her tail so she could try to walk around the park and asked him if he had considered pet wheels. He has looked into it but they will cost from around $450 up to $550 and being on a low income has meant that poor Madison has been denied this simple and yet life changing apparatus.

I would like to make an appeal to everyone on your email list to help me in acquiring a 'set of wheels' for Madison. 50 people with 10 bucks or 100 people with 5 bucks... whatever, every dollar counts. I am donating $50 to start this ball rolling and I have already been promised donations by friends here at the park and at Dog Wood too.

I volunteer at an animal hospital in Brooksville, Florida, and elderly woman
and her son brought in an 18 year old chocolate neutered male Chihuahua in
good health and sweet but he is blind and deaf. They wanted him put to sleep
because the elderly woman could not take care of him anymore, and the son
didn't want him. Me being the sucker i am i took him home just so he didn't have

GEORGIA - "RAINY" - injured 5 month old Boxer/Bulldog pup needs a home !!!

This is going to sound like an episode of Jerry
Springer but it's not. I'm not even sure how to
begin.
I was on the way to a night class last week when it
was pouring rain. I drove around a puppy in the
middle of the lane of traffic. It looked dead. Out of the
corner of my eye I saw it move it's little paw.
Horrified I turned around. Another car went screaming
around it & it moved again. In the pounding rain I
pulled over & walked up to it. It then picked itself
up by the front paws & drug it's body to the side of
the road and collapsed.

It was raining so hard I couldn't believe that the
fireman who drove by saw me wave my reflective car
sun screen. He turned around to help. He carefully
picked up the little guy & placed him onto my instant
"stretcher" and into the back of my car. Knowing it
wouldn't live all the way to the emergency vet I
called our vet & gave them the heads up. I called
Claire to start praying for us as I drove.

The vet staff took the puppy from my car for me & I
just wept feeling so bad for the little guy. Left
for dead with all manner of traffic (me included) going
around him. They said he had a broken leg but it
could be fixed. They asked me if I wanted to put him down
or try to save him. I did what I would have wanted
somebody to do for my dog if he were laying there -
so $1,700 later (& one po'd hubby) the puppy came
through.

I picked up "Rainy" to take him home for rehab. I
had a hunch where he might have come from so I stopped
at this home. "Rufus!" the woman cried. So I found the
owner. I offered to nurse him for a couple of weeks
& return him home. She said she didn't have the money
to pay me & I told her it was OK, I was just glad we
found the owner. While I was there two boxers on the
front porch were mating. They said there were 10
pups the last litter. Hmmm...

"Brenda" (not her real name) said she was in between
homes & was just staying here with her mom until her
trailer became available. She said Rufus was her
son's dog, that he had been staying "with friends the past
week and a half". She said her place wouldn't have
any traffic. I brought Rufus Rainy home & my old BIG dog
went nuts. He cried & whimpered & slammed himself
against the garage door. Then he commenced to
marking all of the furniture. I called Brenda & she arrived
in 15 minutes to take him home, assuring me that she
could & would care for him. My husband laid down the
law with me that we cannot have another dog. He is
traveling on his job & Ivan is a LOT of trouble
while traveling. He is #90 and NOT friendly to strangers
coming into the yard so we always have to board him.

Brenda made & missed 3 appointments at the vet to
get Rainy's stitches out. Her appointment was paid for
(included in the price of the surgery) but she never
showed. Each time I called her I felt more and more
uncomfortable. She sounded impaired. Sometimes her
speech was slurred. Sometimes the things she said
were in-congruent with reality (once she said the vet told
her to give the puppy chicken soup!)

Today I called her & picked her and Rainy up and
took them to the vet. The puppy had lost 5 pounds!! - it
was starving. In addition, the sister who also lived
there had let it out today by accident. In the car
Brenda told me the sad story of what was going on
with her. Here's the Jerry Springer part. Brenda's sister
was staying in a house in the back & got busted for
meth. The police wanted to drug test everybody on
the property. Brenda tested positive to which she said
she has prescription diet pills that turned her drug
screen bad. The department of family and children's
services took ALL the children - including Brenda's
13, 15 & 17 year old. Her 15 year old just had
twins.
Brenda says she conceived at age 14 & she didn't
know she was pregnant until she was 7 mos. along. Brenda
is facing charges related to statutory rape of her 14
year old. Brenda has not worked "for months" and is
started a job at a fast food chain & moving into a
trailer. She will face a judge tomorrow to find out
if she gets incarcerated or gets the kids back.

And the puppy? The vet is holding it for 7 days - my
tab - to "get weight on him," essentially saving
it's life again. He needs a loving home. If he goes back
to this family, I fear we have saved him for a worse
death.

He is a boxer/ bulldog mix, very sweet & gentle,
about 5 months old & will be about #50 at full growth. His
features are very petite, so I'm not even sure he'll
be that big. It's mother is very attractive and
sweet.

Rainy had a compound fracture of his back leg. His
surgery required an internal pin & he is on
antibiotics. He sustained a stable fracture of one
of his vertebrae but is expected to heal without
problems there. He may have a slight limp but is a puppy and is expected to
have a normal life otherwise. During
his recovery he will need to be crated (I can provide)
and absolutely no jumping or rough housing with other
dogs. He is so sweet, he just turns over & shows his
belly when he is petted.

home to Rainy, please email me. Hubby has told me because of the dangerous
grounds this family lives on that I
can not have any further contact with Brenda or her
family.

I voted my conscience. If you are able to take on a
puppy for rehab, I'll do everything I can to make it
happen.

Zanesville, Ohio - URGENT! - Two pups with Broken Legs are being put down

At the Zanesville, OH Animal Shelter: Jolt and Shy are both 4 month old
pups (not littermates) that have broken hind legs. More information is below,
but both are going to require surgery and plates in their legs. They have had
xrays to prove this. They are scheduled to be euthanized next week.

Shy 17415
Shy is 4 months old and weighs 25.1 pounds. He was given the name Shy for
obvious reasons. He is a shy boy. He is calm and lovable. He likes kids, and
he also loves to play. We believe that Shy was abused, he becomes attached
quickly. Shy is also in a foster home due to a broken leg. He is in
desperate need of a good home where he can get the proper care and love that he
needs.

Jolt is a 4 month old Lab mix. He weighs 22.9 pounds. He is very lovable,
playful and loves to be around kids. He loves to lay in a bed, and wants all
the attention he can get. Right now Jolt is in a foster home because he has
a broken leg. Surgery will be required. He is in desperate need of a

toy poodle needs wheelchair

my 10 month old male toy poodle needs a wheelchair. he is having his
right back leg amputated the day after tomorrow. his left leg is
suffering some knee problems and he may be developing the same disease
in that hip which is causing him to lose his right leg. my medical
bills are astounding. i just don't think i can afford a wheelchair on
top of his ongoing medical bills. does anyone have a used one that i
could buy inexpensively? also is using the bathroom going to be an
issue with a wheelchair? i have no experience here and need any ideas
or infor you can give me. thanks
