BEEN NO OFFERS TO RESCUE HER !!
PLEASE....PLEASE....ISN'T THERE A RESCUE THAT CAN MAKE A SPACE FOR HER OR SOMEONE WHO WILL GIVE THIS DOG A HOME FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE ???
Juliet was turned in by her owner to the Chattooga County Animal Control shelter in Summerville, Georgia, wearing a green harness. She is a Yellow Lab mix and looks completely Lab except for some darker areas around her eyes. When we started to remove the harness we realized that it was embedded in her chest. The skin had not grown over it, so we were able to pull it out bit by bit very gently. This sweet dog didn't even move while we were doing this and just whimpered slightly. I was in tears so the poor dog ended up trying to comfort me. I used a whole tube of Neosporin on the wound.
The shelter has no funds whatsoever for vetting, so now she is just lying on the cold wet concrete floor. She gets up only to give me a kiss. Juliet needs medical attention right away and a loving home to help her heal. This deep wound will get horribly infected with her lying in that nasty shelter. Her beautiful buff colored coat is coming out by the handfuls, but I think this is just stress maybe. I can see no sign of mange. Juliet has such a sweet and tender spirit. Even though she has been neglected, hurt and abandoned, she still thinks people are wonderful. A dog like this can make a wonderful family pet. Please don't let her get put down after all she has suffered. Please give Juliet a chance at a new life.
