Delaware - Special needs dog needs help!

PLEASE CROSS POST!
There is an older male Pit Bull at the SPCA in Georgetown, DE who needs a home. He is deaf, and heartworm positive. He came from an overcrowded shelter, and was supposed to be a few years old. But the Vet Tech at the SPCA suspects that he is really about 8-years-old after looking at his teeth. His name is Shakespeare, and he is very sweet.
The SPCA will treat his heartworms, if there is a home for Shakespeare to go to. Given his age, the heartworms, and the deafness, Shakespeare cannot be put up for adoption. But, he is too sweet of a dog to put to sleep. Can anyone out there help him?
*If you have a place for Shakespeare, or need more information, please call Kim at the SPCA: 302-856-6361.*
Thank you!
