S.C. Lab Mix Puppy, spayed with minor emotional issues, needs home

EMAIL CONTACT twizz161@yahoo.com

We have an 8 month old lab/beagle (we think) mix puppy. We do NOT

want to give her away, but she has some issues that she needs another

home for, as we are expecting our first child in February, so we are

not going to have the time.

She is fully housebroken, knows some commands, loves children and

other doggie friends. I'm not sure about cats, as she's never been

around any. She's about 26 pounds right now, we expect her to hit the

40lb mark.. maybe. lol She is spayed, up to date on all her shots,

and heartworm preventative. She is very sweet and loves to play. No

problems with chewing. Give her a toy or bone and she's a happy girl!

I want to be upfront with her issues, cause I want someone to know

what she is up against. She needs a loving home, with someone who can

work on her issues with timidness. She's not scared of vacuums/loud

noises. She is scared of random things, like grocery bags, boxes,

paper. etc. When she gets scared she pees. She doesn't like new

experiences, she freaks out and wants to hide in her crate.

We are worried that she will be too timid around the baby. Babies are

a big adjustment, and we don't know how she will handle screaming,

etc. We are also moving into a new home, and she's already skiddish

when we have visited it.. and tries to run away or pee.

We are at a loss of how to train her. My husband and I have never had

any experience with a timid dog.. She needs someone who will have

time to train her and give her the attention she needs. If anyone is

interested. please let me know.

INGLESIDE,TX+ Dimitr, Deaf White Heeler Mix needs home

Dimitri was found wandering one of the local county roads in South Texas,
he has been my foster dog since the beginning of December 2007. He is
HW- and the vet puts him at just over a year old. He either had a pediatric
neuter or neither of his testicles have dropped. The vet said he can't be sure
either way unless he does surgery to check. He is current on all shots and
walks great on a leash. He has a docked tail and weighs about 40 pounds. He is
on Revolution for fleas, ticks and heart worm.

He is living with my 6 dogs and 7 cats. My dogs range from 1 year to 15
years, and from a doxi to a blue heeler in size. He loves to play and run and
will play for hours with my youngest dog, however sometimes he does play rough
and I have to redirect. He will chase cats but again I can redirect his
behavior. He has been swiped more than once by my cats and is beginning to
develop some respect for their space. He is very smart and learned how
to use the dog door in one day. He has shown no food aggression at all. I
feed all 7 at the same time with separate bowls and he has learning feeding
time rules. He has shown no body or mouth aggression either, I am able to
touch and feel all parts of him. He is hand shy and it has made it
difficult for teaching had signals. He does know stay and sit. I would recommend that he lives with one or two dogs so he can play with and learn the
rules from them. Not sure about small children as I have none but my friends
13 year old comes over and he has been fine with her. My 78 year old mother
was able to handle him also. He is like any other herding dog he needs to be
active and engaged. He is not fully housebroken yet. Any other
questions I have not answered please email me at scoleman@infionline.net or lcrpets1@yahoo.com

A fenced yard is a requirement as is a vet reference. I am willing
to help pay relocation costs.

Any help in rehoming Dimitri would be greatly appreciated.

Donations needed for Hound with broken pelvis

Contact is: sylvasylva59@embarqmail.com

I
couldn’t stand it anymore; I brought her home that is 4 more dogs over
the weekend then what we had. The pint sized beagle is going into
rescue, but I have to pay for rabies, the two old beagles need vetting,
I will do what I can, and the hound well I now need help. Can you
please post to contacts for any donation, my paypal account is
sylvasylva59@embarqmail.com,
being a private party, people will most likely not want to donate,
which is sad, I have donated hundreds of dollars just last month and
cannot donate one more cent to anyone anymore. I NOW NEED HELP. I’M
DYING HERE. My husband and I donate hundreds of dollars each month to
various groups and pay for pull fees around the country for people; we
now are in need of help with these four dogs. PLEASE. The Walker Hound
with the broken pelvis is skin and bones.

You
might ask me why I pulled them, well, two old beagles that no one was
taking and all the younger dogs and puppies are now gone into rescue.
Why should they die, they are energetic and certainly deserve love
after being treated like dirt their entire lives. The pint sized
beagle has been so traumatized she has not moved from her corner of her
crate for 3 days now. She finally ate and relieved herself but that is
while we were gone. The hound with the broken pelvis, well people
called and no on showed up for her. She was lying on thin piece of old
bedding when I took her today. A group was going to get her and I
waited and waited until the last minute, and they just never showed up,
all the staff was looking forward to getting this poor dog out of
there. This shelter has no money and is located next to a county dump.
And that is why I pulled her. So she would not have to spend one more
night in a cold kennel, lying on cement with broken bones. And low and
behold I was lucky enough to see some asshole dump a dog on the road
and speed off as I was driving home, the dog running its heart out
trying to catch his/her dumper. I could not locate him/her, I tried.
So I ask you, please consider donating so that I can help these dogs become whole again.
Thank you,

Sylva

Massive cat killing, please sing petition

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) is barring Celia
Hammond Animal Trust,(CHAT) an animal rescue group, from accessing the
site to trap and safely remove the cats, even though the trappers have
all the relevant construction safety qualifications to allow them to
operate on the site and are only requesting permission to access the
road outside the site to set up feeding stations and traps. Preventing
these cats from being rescued is essentially a death sentence for these
animals.

This petition is desperately needing signatures...

Parsons, WV Senior Walker Coonhound starved and was shot, needs a home

Shooter is a very special Walker Coonhound.
He is a senior who has had a very bad life. He was hunted till he was
to old and to slow then taken out in the woods and left he suffers from
what could be a gun shot wound to the head.
He can't hold his head straight when he walks he goes sideways.
It is so sad to be a senior who is no longer wanted but to be a special
needs senior is even worse.
He wears scars on the outside and carries scars on the inside, these
scars will never go away or never heal.
Shooter was half starved but somehow managed to find his way out of the
woods and to a house.
He is a very lovable boy who needs a very lovable home he can go to and
retire without any cares or worries that he will be hurt or left alone
again.
I have to tell you Shooter has stolen my heart ! As I know he will
yours to!!

NY..Deaf 2 yr. pittie living in kennel 1 yr !!. $$ running out. will DIE

This
2 year old boy, is up to date on shots, neutered, and Deaf. He
is very

playful, loving, handsome, and understands sign language.

Antonio Such a ham!!! Gets along with other dogs.

Antonio
was pulled from a high kill shelter in New York City around 6
months ago. He is looking for a forever home..We are desperate
to find it for him. There are some dogs who have been in boarding for too
long, and paying the bills can become a problem, and saving other dogs is
out of the question in a long term boarding situation.

Antonio chases cats out of curiosity, is a medium size dog, and does not

have a mean bone in his body. He really needs a person who has lots of

love and patience, Since he he cannot hear, commands are not so useful.

Only SIGN LANGUAGE works for Antonio's needs..

.Please help find him a loving home soon

Columbus Ohio: Nella Rescued From Cruel Backard Breeder injured and Needs Help

Med Vet in Columbus. The number is 1-800-891-9091. The
nuerologists name is Dr.Fenner. Thanks to anyone who can help!
http://www.medvet-cves.com/

NELLAS BIO: Nella is a beautiful 3 year old mostly white pure
Staffordshire Bull Terrier who was rescued from a selfish and cruel
backyard breeder. She was kept in a back room run down trailor in the
dark, in a small filthy cage when she was pregnant and her babies
were sold as early as 5 weeks for bait dogs for fighting.. When she
wasnt pregnant she was chained, on several huge short chains to a
doghouse behind a junkyard among a long row of other bully breeds
this cruel man used for various reasons. She has been overbred but
was an affectionatte and caring mother. She was in severe suffering
when she was rescued. (we also saved one of her puppies) She has
healed physically and emotionally. utd on shots, and she is spayed.
She now thinks she is a lapcat. She was first owned by a lady who had
children and gave her alot of affection but gave her away to this
breeder because she moved into a smaller home. Nella listens well and
LOVES kids and curently lives with 7 other rescues of various breeds,
ages, and temperments and gets along well with all of them. She loves
to go for rides and learned to walk on a leash pretty good. She likes
to chase cats but has never hurt one and will immediately lose
interest when they stop running! She is fine with strange dogs as
long as they dont show any aggression to her (then she grumbles at
them). She has never been in any fights but has been attacked by
other stressed and suffering dogs who got loose at the breeders
junkyard. If she gets off leash she will listen to her human pack and
follow them wherever they go. She likes to snuggle on the couch when
her humans are watching tv and will fall asleep snoring loudly like
an old man in no time. Nella also loves getting kisses and hugs and
loves to kiss her humans back!

NELLAS EMERGENCY: This week she was running around in the yard fast
playing keep away ball with her puppy and another rescue pup and she
made a sharp turn and damaged her spine. She dropped and started
screamingand was unable to get up. She is paralyzed from the hip to
the toes on her back hind leg.
(Thank goodness just one leg was
paralyzed!) Her vet said she either has Fibrocartilaginous Embolism
(FCE), or Intervertebral Disk Disease, either way she needs to see a
neurolosit and then get an MRI asap. Her vet visit wasalmost 200$
which was almost all of our funds for all the dogs here in our area.
To see the neurologist, in Columbus, it is 125$ just for him to look
at her and nothing else. The MRI is between 1700$-1900$...We didint
even ask how much surgery for either option was...One hurdle at a
time....We are starting a fundraiser to get her to the neurologist
and for her MRI. We need to know what is wrong so we can work on her
future and make sure that she will be okay..or whether she wont be
okay. We are worried it might be a perm damage and she may be in perm
pain. We just need to find out as much as we can as soon as we can
from this nuerologist. She has been through enough in her life. She
has to be crated and it is hard to do that considering her past
crating experience...She is starting to get depressed and Im worried
about her going downhill. Please repost to anyone you think might be
able to help her.

Anyone who wants to donate for her (125$)
consultation with the nuerologist and the (1700$-1900$) MRI can
contact

Med Vet in Columbus. The number is 1-800-891-9091. The
nuerologists name is Dr.Fenner. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Abused Breeder dog needs-Surgery Cost Donations Needed by Tomorrow 11/9/07

CONTACT INFO AT END OF POST!

Friends

This is little Bogie. He's had a
really hard life. First with a breeder.

Then when he wasn't good enough for
that anymore, the breeder took him

to a high kill shelter. We were able to pull him with in days of him

being euthanized.

He lived most of his life in a cage in horrible conditions. We all know

what that does to an animal.

His back legs were very weak and he had a hard time standing up. When he

was finally able to, his little back was humped over and had bone spurs.

He had a horrible skin condition that caused loss of hair and a bad

smell. He also had what seemed to be an injury to his little pee pee.

I'm not surprised. His ears were
infected and he was very underweight.

Believe it or not, I was able to find wonderful foster parents for this

little guy.

I really thought his luck was about to change but unfortunately it

wasn't meant to be.

All of a sudden, over night, his left eye started to look bad. He was

taken to an eye specialist which confirmed our worst fears. Little Bogie

had glaucoma. That is a VERY painful eye condition. The doctor said he

just knew he was in a lot of pain. But Bogie is a real trooper and tried

to hid his pain. He was given medication and was sent home with fingers

crossed. We hoped that it was caught in time but it wasn't.

Bogie's left eye had to be removed.

That was about 2 week ago. He did so well during surgery but was in so

much pain afterwards.

He just whimpered and moaned all night. But within a few days he was up

and playing.

Ok now we just knew his luck was about to change. He was going to be

pain free and he still had one good eye so we rejoiced in that. But

again, luck was not on his side.

Bogie woke up last Saturday morning with his good eye looking bad. He

was taken to another eye specialist this morning. He was diagnosised

with a detached retina. He is, at this moment, at the hospital awaiting

surgery. It's scheduled at 4:00
today.

I know you're saying.....here it
comes. Well, yes, I guess you're
right.

I cannot pay for yet another surgery. I am just an independent rescuer

so I don't have the financial means
like a lot of the bigger rescues

have.

The doctor said this one is going to be in

the range of $2000...give or take.

They wanted a 50% down payment before they would do the surgery. They

will not allow me to have an open bill nor would they work with me on

the price. I HAD to (HAD TO) pay $1000 my credit card today and will

have to pay the remaining balance tomorrow when he's
picked up. I'm just

SICK and somewhat upset that this clinic will not work with me on this

payment. I was told it's the only
clinic that can do this surgery. And

yes, I've checked around and it's true. I don't
have $100 in my account

much less $2000.

This little guy so deserves a chance to be happy, pain free and to be

able to see with the eye that he has left.

If you can find it in your hearts to help me help this little guy, I

would so appreciate it.

Time is not on our side but he's
got to have that surgery one way or

another or he will lose this eye too.

There is no time for mailing checks into them. They want it now! So if

you want to donate, you can call your credit card into them. But here's

another kicker...they require a signature so they'll
have to fax you

some sort of credit card form to sign off on. Just like if you were at

the Mall charging something. You have to sign that paper. I know, can

they make it any harder for us to help this little guy. I'm
already on

the verge of tears.

He's at LVS
(Louisville
Veterinary Specialty) 502-244-3036

Please....Anything at all will help him.

We all helped Nicki when she was in need and I'm
hoping we can all do

the same for little Bogie.

Thanks to everyone and please forward on to your contacts. We really

need all the help we can get.

REMEMBER...TIME IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE HERE
